Washington Lake Sunrise Elopement - Alma + Spencer

If you want your wedding day to be full of slow and intentional moments, jaw-dropping backdrops to your photos, and a day full of peace and laughter, consider eloping! The PNW is full of breathtaking locations, from the coast to the mountains to the desert and everything in between, and I’m here to help you pick the spot that captures the colors and mood that you’re dreaming of. Keep reading to get inspiration for a PNW lakeside elopement at sunrise!

A Breathtaking Backdrop to Your Love

This lake is tucked in the Snoqualmie Pass area in Washington state. Taking your photos at sunrise can almost guarantee that you’ll have the place to yourselves! We had the most magical morning as we watched the sun rise and illuminate the mountain layers. When you elope, you will have the most beautiful backdrops to your photos, and your adventure will create memories that you’ll cherish forever!

Sunrise vs. Sunset Photos

When you’re deciding on the timing of your elopement, I always recommend taking your photos at sunrise or sunset! Sunrise light is a bit on the softer side, and sunset light is more vibrant and warm. Both are beautiful, and you can choose which is more in line with your vision for your photos!

Leave No Trace

Let’s keep the PNW beautiful! You can trust that when you’re taking photos with me, we’re not only capturing beautiful photos in these areas, but we are preserving the wildlife that is there. At Han Kat Studio, we value treating nature kindly. For your elopement, we will take care of these areas, leave no trace, and not tramp on the wildflowers or greenery!

Couples Portraits

One of the best things about eloping is that you have so much extra time for couples portraits! Having extra time allows us to be creative with every shot so I can capture moments that you’ll want to frame ASAP.
