What It’s Like To Have a Southern Oregon Coast Elopement

If you are wondering whether or not an Oregon Coast elopement is right for you, hopefully, this blog post will help you out. Discover the ease and flexibility of eloping, what your Southern Oregon Coast elopement could look like, and the next steps in starting to plan your elopement with minimal stress.

The Ease and Flexibility of Choosing to Elope

If you are considering either having a bigger wedding or an elopement and want a lot of ease and flexibility in your day, I highly recommend an elopement! Instead of feeling super stressed out about putting together a large wedding and trying to people please everyone, you can elope and make your day fully about you and celebrating your love. I know for some, it can be daunting to tell everyone you’re eloping, and if that’s you, I see you, and I’m cheering you on! There are so many benefits to an elopement, and you deserve to enjoy your day how you want to.

  • You get more epic photos in different locations for your bridal portraits

  • You’re not constrained to a venue that’s in the suburbs or a timeline that’s super rigid.

  • You get to like take the day at whatever pace you want to.

  • Your photographer is able to be more creative when you don’t have a packed or tight schedule.

Can you imagine spending your wedding day with just your significant other and closest people without needing to rush through anything? It’s a slow-paced, easy day, and you’re able to be present for every moment. In fact, you’re able to remember so many details and moments years down the road because there was nothing to distract you or pull you away from celebrating your marriage.

What Your Southern Oregon Coast Elopement Could Look Like

Kirsten & Jacob Brown’s Oregon Coast elopement was full of intentionality. They got to focus on each other and had a relaxed, slow pace for their day. They didn’t want a big wedding, stress, or to be the center of attention, so eloping was the perfect thing for them. It was really special because we got to take a photo of their entire guest list as a part of documenting their elopement. The whole day ran so smoothly, and you could tell that they felt so at ease because they were just with their family and their closest people. If this sounds like a dream elopement to you, check out more of their elopement photography and timeline below, and click here for the full elopement gallery.

Intentionality & Special Moments While Getting Ready

The day started with them getting ready at two different Airbnb's with their family, and I got some sweet candids of them getting ready and the details of the "venue" (an Airbnb!). Kirsten's family surprised her with florals and tablescapes on the deck where they had the reception, and her mom and sisters all gave her the sweetest gifts. While the getting ready process can oftentimes feel stressed and rushed with larger weddings, their time was spent creating intentional, heartfelt memories.

Intimate Oregon Coast Elopement Ceremony

Kirsten's sister officiated the ceremony, and it was so beautiful. There wasn’t a dry eye there. Surrounded by their family and the beauty of the Oregon Coast, they said their vows.

Stress-Free Oregon Coast Elopement Bridal Portraits

Since they eloped, the day was so unrushed and stress-free, so we were able to take bridal portraits without rushing onto the next thing. The coast was very “Oregon like” with the moody weather and rock formations. Can you picture yourself here?

Intentional After Party

To end their Oregon Coast elopement, the family shared dinner together, as well as special dances and toasts. It was a night to remember!
