The Different Types of Locations & When They’re in Their Peak
The Columbia River Gorge (September-October)
The fall foliage in the Gorge is so stunning! Plus, I know some hidden gem spots for beautiful photos with incredible views and not as busy (you can book with me to figure out where they are).

Cooper Mountain Nature Park (September-October)
This nature park offers long grass for those dreamy field photos, as well as vibrant fall foliage starting in early September! Since this is a public nature park, you can expect to see more people on the trails, so keep this in mind!

Apple Orchards (September-October)
Apple orchards are such a unique and beautiful location idea for your senior photos! I have a favorite orchard in Sherwood, as well as one in Hood River that offers an absolutely incredible view of Mt. Hood. Apple orchards are perfect for more of the farm/field vibe senior photos!

Downtown Portland (September-October)
If you want a more urban vibe for your senior photos, downtown Portland has so many options to choose from! From a more academia vibe at the library to the brick buildings in the Pearl District to the coffee and record shops, you’re sure to get so many unique backdrops for your senior photos!

The Oregon Coast (September-October)
While there isn’t as much fall foliage at the coast, it’s still a stunning location for both the golden hour and moody vibes! Whether you’re looking for the soft beach grass backdrop or the rocky cliffs, the coast has it all.

Forest Park (August-October)
The redwood trees in Forest Park offer a warm and golden backdrop without needing to drive out of the city! The sun comes through the trees right at golden hour, making it the perfect option.

How to Choose Your Senior Photo Session Location
All of the Fall senior photo locations are stunning! They are all different, so you can pick and choose what feels the most like you and your personality. I always tell my seniors that you get to have so much variety here in Oregon! Here’s how to choose what location is best for you:
If you have a backdrop vibe, we can pick and choose which feels the most like that. For example, the coast is significantly different than downtown or an apple orchard.
With a color palette in mind, we can pick a vibe for you and a time of day that reflects that from all of the location research and scouting I’ve done! (I’ve lived here my whole life, and I’ve had so much time to explore the Pacific Northwest and find spots that are really beautiful!)
